New 2012 Prolite Prolite Escapade 15 Travel Trailers

Seeing the need for ultra light travel trailers for Canadians prior to 2003, Martin James launched and began Prolite.  Assembling his very first unit, Polaira, in his home garage.  He is also very proud to say that Prolite products are 90% Canadian, made in Quebec, Canada.

In 2004 Martin launched a few more units with the Prolite Ultra 24 weighing in at 3995 lbs., an ideal unit for the small family, especially the price.  With the American companies offering much larger units, and very little in compact sizes, Martin developed two more units.  One of them, the 14' Profile which weighed approximately 1350 lb. and was towable by a compact car for those who wanted small and convenient units.

As the years progressed, Prolite continued to produce newer models adjusting to customer requests and moving to a much bigger facility in 2006 when the company moved to St-Jérôme.  A year later, a new factory and showroom four times the size of the original factory began allowing more than 400 products to be built in a year with modern equipment.

Each consecutive year more innovative models were born at Prolite bringing the customer lighter weights and the introduction of RV campers with slideout like the Escapade 14 and Extreme 23 of 2011, and Plus & Max 21 models for 2012.
